FW Taco House Closed Due to Broken Heart

Bud Kennedy of the Star-Telegram shares this touching story of a Fort Worth "taco house" shut down after the owner's wife died in January.

Don Felipe's restaurant never reopened it's doors after January 16, as owner Phil Pulido said he couldn't go inside after his wife passed away.

"After she died, I just couldn’t go in and see all that," Pulido told the Star-Telegram. "We were married 60 years. I’m still not over it."

According to Pulido, Don Felipe's rice was one of the biggest hits in the restaurant -- something the late Lorenza Pulido continued to cook personally, even when suffering the effects of Alzheimer's.
