Former Contestant from “The Bachelor” Arrested At a Texas Bar

A one-time NFL cheerleader and reality TV bride-to-be is out of jail after being arrested in a southwest border-town bar.

Mary Delgado, who accepted a televised proposal from "The Bachelor," or professional bass fisherman Byron Velvick, in 2004, was arrested in Del Rio early Sunday after refusing to leave a local bar.

Val Verde County Sheriff's officials said deputies were called to the bar sometime after midnight Saturday when Delgado, 41, refused to leave. She was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and resisting arrest and released about an hour later.

It's unclear if the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleader had an attorney. A telephone listing in Florida, where Delgado lives, could not be found.

Delgado was arrested about a year ago in Seminole, Fla., on a charge that she hit a man she lived with in the mouth.
