Food Truck Events Dish Up Your Weekend

Food truck fans may want to put on their eatin' pants for these two weekend events.

On Friday, July 20, the Texas Department of Agriculture is introducing the Tastes of Texas Food Truck Challenge at Fort Worth's Cowtown Chow Down Food Park.

All the trucks will use ingredients produced in Texas and will be judged by local folks to determine who has the "favorite Texas taste."

After the official rounds of judging complete, the public can taste free samples from each food truck starting at 2:30 p.m.

Participating trucks include Auntie Am's Sweet Shop, Chile Pepper Grill, Good Karma, Holy Frijole, Sassy's Hot Dogs, Snoball Corral, and World Tour Food Truck.

On Saturday, July 21, U.S. Food Trucks is hosting a "Beach Party Blowout" in Vitruvian Park in Addison.

The evening event includes beach themed activities for all ages, plus gourmet bites from Tin Star Taco Truck, Cajun Tailgators, The Butcher's Son, Ruthie's Rolling Cafe, and Semplice Cibo Italiano.

Visitors will be able to taste those trucks' wares from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., with prices and menus varying by truck.
