Tired of the same old menu for Thanksgiving? Freshen up your Turkey Day by visiting one of the farmers markets in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The Cowtown Farmers Market in Fort Worth will hold their regularly scheduled market opening on Nov. 17 -- the Saturday before Thanksgiving -- from 8 a.m. until noon.
They'll also open a special Thanksgiving market on Wednesday, Nov. 21 from 8 a.m. to noon for last-minute shoppers and chefs that want their produce extra fresh for Turkey Day.
On the other side of town, the Dallas Farmers Market will have a special Thanksgiving-inspired class on making vegetarian dishes from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 17.
The Dallas Farmers Market is open 362 days a year from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. -- the only days they close are Christmas Day, New Years Day, and...Thanksgiving.
