Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 10

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts", Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

Maurice Jones-Drew, JAC, RB — MJD has been a huge disappointment this season, probably partly due to his own shortcomings and mostly due to the lack of talent around him. But, he has been quietly effective recently and has done against some pretty good run defenses. This week, he gets a great matchup against Tennessee, which has been friendly to opposing running backs. If there's ever a time to roll with MJD, this might be it.

Honorable mention: Timothy Wright, TB (vs. MIA); Nick Foles, PHI (at GB); Riley Cooper, PHI (at GB); Torrey Smith, BAL (vs. CIN)

Dud of the Week

Case Keenum, HOU, QB — Talk about a hot commodity. Coming off his stellar game on Sunday night, Keenum would appear to be a lock to start unless you have elite options at QB. But not so fast. The Texans go to Arizona to play a Cardinals defense that has been known to terrorize opposing quarterbacks in their building, where they just play a different brand of football. Also, remember that the second half of Sunday's game wasn't nearly as good as the first after head coach and playcaller Gary Kubiak was hospitalized. He won't be back with the Texans this week, so that could be problematic for the young QB.

Honorable mention: Matt Ryan, ATL (vs. SEA); Jake Locker, TEN (vs. JAC); Ray Rice, BAL (vs. CIN); Cecil Shorts, JAC (at TEN)
