Fantasy Land: Rios Underrated Ranger

A self-professed fantasy expert, Adam Boedeker will give his occasional takes on all things fantasy sports.

The Texas Rangers have their fair share of fantasy baseball superstars with fantasy drafts quickly approaching. Of course, there's a legitimate ace pitcher in Yu Darvish, a potential 40-save closer in Neftali Feliz, and MVP-caliber bat in Adrian Beltre and now another in Prince Fielder to go with an on-base machine in Shin-Soo Choo.

But what about Alex Rios?

Rios does nothing spectacularly, but he does a lot of things pretty darn well. In fact, according to the folks at CBS Sports, Rios is one of four outfielders to finish in the top 10 in Rotisserie value in three of the last four years, and if not for his awful, outlying 2011 season, he would've done it in each of the past four seasons.

He's got the power to easily hit 25 home runs, especially playing his first full season in Rangers Ballpark aka Globe Life Park, and he's also capable of stealing 40 bases. He had 42 last season and 16 of those came in just 47 games with the Rangers — proof Ron Washington's green light did wonders for him.

So if you're looking for a mid- to late-round pick in your draft, consider Rios. He could be a nice payoff in his first full season in Arlington.
