Young Artist Recital at NorthPark Presbyterian to Feature Rising Flute Talent Yubeen Kim

Yubeen Kim started playing the flute at 10 years old. His mother played the instrument as a hobby, and by listening to her perform, Kim soon fell in love with its charm. He proved to be a natural. He has performed around the world and has won major competitions, including the top prize in the 69th Concours de Geneve in 2014 and the 70th Prague Spring International Music Competition in 2015.Last year, at only age 19, he was named principal flutist at the Konzerthausorchester Berlin. Dallas flute teacher Monica Song brings Kim here to perform in her Young Artist Recital at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at NorthPark Presbyterian Church, 9555 N. Central Expressway in Dallas. Guest artists include Anastasia Markina on piano and rising talents Noah Yi on clarinet and Subin Cho on flute. Admission is free.
