Woman Taken Into Custody After Hitting Police Car at Crash Site in North Dallas

A woman was taken into custody after her car slammed into an empty police vehicle Wednesday morning at the scene of an earlier accident, police said.Police responded around 12:15 a.m. to an accident at North Central Expressway at Churchill Way in North Dallas. About an hour later while the first accident was still being investigated, a Fiat 500 struck a police squad car's front passenger axle wheel and wound up on its side, police said.No one was in the squad car when it was hit, police said. Officers interviewed the woman and placed her in handcuffs. The accidents closed a northbound stretch of North Central Expressway until around 2:37 a.m., police said.No details were available about the initial accident.
