Woman Jailed After Police Say She Lied About Being Raped at Gun Barrel City Park

Police in Gun Barrel City have charged a woman who they say lied about being raped at a city park last week.Antares Ann Hibbard, 21, told police in the city 60 miles southeast of Dallas that while she was walking around a track at Gun Barrel City Park on Saturday evening a man grabbed her at knifepoint and raped her, police said.But the department said Thursday that after a thorough investigation, officers "concluded that this report was false."Hibbard, who police said confessed to lying about the incident, was charged with one count of filing a false police report. She was booked into the Gun Barrel City jail and will be transferred to the Henderson County jail, police said.  Continue reading...
