Woman Driving in Oak Cliff Shot in Leg by Someone in Passing Car, Police Say

Police say a woman driving in Oak Cliff was wounded when struck by gunfire from another vehicle Friday night.Officers responded about 10:28 p.m. to South Westmoreland Road, where they found the victim bleeding from her leg.The woman told police she had been traveling southbound in the 2600 block of the thoroughfare when a newer-model, four-door silver Nissan pulled up on her right side. A round was fired into her vehicle, striking her in the leg.The suspect vehicle then turned and sped away on an unknown street.The victim was hospitalized for treatment.  Continue reading...
