Woman, Baby Found Dead in Bed at Far North Fort Worth House, Police Say

A woman and a baby were found dead in bed late Thursday night at a far north Fort Worth house. The details of the incident are unclear, but Saginaw police called Fort Worth police about 9:30 p.m. They said that a man had come home in the 8500 block of Cactus Flower Drive and found a woman and child dead, Fort Worth police spokesman Daniel Segura said. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified the woman an 36-year-old Shanna Vandewege and the baby as 3-month-old Diederik Vandewege.The examiner has not determined the cause of death. The Fort Worth Police Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. Segura said no other details are available at this point.   Continue reading...
