Woman Arrested on Murder Charge After Fatal Shooting in Fort Worth

A Saginaw woman has been arrested on a murder charge after a fatal Fort Worth shooting last week.Catrina Renee Guy, 45, of Saginaw was booked into the Fort Worth jail Monday afternoon in connection with the slaying of 50-year-old William Joseph Prygon.Officers were called to the 7700 block of Jacksboro Highway, near Lake Worth in northwestern Fort Worth, after a shooting was reported around 10:30 a.m. Thursday. They found Prygon, who had been shot multiple times, dead in "the back end of a property filled with miscellaneous items," according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's office. Public records indicate that Prygon lived at that address.Police did not say what led them to charge Guy and have not released additional details about the shooting. She remained in custody Tuesday, with bail set at $50,000.Guy has previously been convicted in Tarrant County of assault of a teacher, court records show. In 2015, she was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after authorities said she stabbed another woman.
