In true Texas fashion, there will be an almost 50-degree drop in the temperature this weekend as an arctic blast moves into Dallas-Fort Worth. An arctic air mass has "been unleashed and sent south," said meteorologist Matt Bishop with the National Weather Service. A high in the low 70s Friday will drop into the 40s overnight. By afternoon, there should be some breaks in the clouds, he said. But the biggest shift will come Saturday, when the temperature will go from a high of about 70 into the 40s by the mid-afternoon, Bishop said. That low will quickly drop into the 20s overnight into Sunday morning. There's a slight chance of some light snow or flurries in Dallas-Fort Worth.
