Dallas will elect a new mayor for the first time in eight years in less than a month.Nine mayoral candidates sought to replace the term-limited Mayor Mike Rawlings, however none of them managed to gain more than 50 percent of the vote during the May 4 election.The top two finishers -- state Rep. Eric Johnson, D-Dallas, and City Council member Scott Griggs -- will advance to a June 8 runoff.The crowded race included mayoral candidates from various political affiliations, including Johnson, a Democrat, and former Republican state Rep.
