Stop any newcomer to Dallas on the street and mention Shakey’s Pizza Parlor and the name likely won’t ring a bell.But Scott Fletcher is one of the many longtime Dallasites who will never forget the taste of hand-spun, thin-crust pizza or the sound of a banjo playing “Happy Birthday to You” on the parlor’s stage.
