Where Do Chick-fil-A Customers Go on Sundays? A D-FW Company Has the Answer and It's Not Popeyes

On the heels of the viral response to Popeyes' new fried chicken sandwich, a well-respected data and analytics company has released a list of restaurants that are quite literally eating Chick-fil-A's lunch on Sundays.Analysis from Fort Worth-based Buxton Live Mobile Insights sheds light on where Chick-Fil-A customers go on Sunday. The company tracked location data from the mobile devices of customers on Chick-fil-A properties Monday through Saturday, and then studied where those same customers ate on Sundays when the fast food restaurant was closed.Buxton told The Dallas Morning News it "purchases and analyzes consumer location data from multiple data aggregators where the data is collected from mobile devices which have pre-opted in to location services tracking."In Texas, Chick-fil-A's customers predictably visit Whataburger on Sundays more than any other alternative. IHOP was a go-to for many midwestern states, including Oklahoma. But for most states, Cracker Barrel is the most popular alternative for customers who need their Sunday chicken fix.Popeyes isn't the favorite alternative in any of the U.S. states that Buxton Live Mobile Insights collected data about – for now.  Continue reading...
