What Dallas County's Credit Scores Say About the Lingering Effects of Racism

Dallas’ southern half continues to lag its northern counterpart in critical measures of economic opportunity, a new report from the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and the Center for Public Policy Priorities shows.The report, whose authors used Equifax credit data to examine the state of consumer credit in Dallas County by zip code, includes a map of median scores within the county.The divide is stark.
