West Dallas Retail Project Will Start Early Next Year

Developers of West Dallas' popular Sylvan|30 development say three new buildings will add more than 10,000 square feet.Oaxaca Interests plans to build the retail buildings across Sylvan Street in front of the Chase Bank Building.Construction will start in early 2018."Our goal is take the energy found at Sylvan|30 expand it across the street," Oaxaca Interests president Brent Jackson said. In a statement. "The intersection of Sylvan and Fort Worth Avenue has immense potential to become the next lively, pedestrian-friendly district, and we're fully dedicated to making it happen."Architect firm's Lake Flato andHocker Design Group are working on the project.Sylvan|30's retail space is more than three fourth's leased with tenants including TacoDeli, Cibodivino, Whisk Crepes, Houndstooth Coffee, Cox Farms Market, Sync Yoga & Wellbeing, Craft & Company Salon and Ten.This summer Los Angeles-based Arc Capital Partners purchased the apartment portion of Sylvan|30 from the local development group.Oaxaca Interests recently announced plans to to redevelop an old warehouse next door on Fort Worth Avenue into a dining and retail venue.  Continue reading...
