We Recommend Dustin Marshall for DISD District 2

It's taken years for Dallas ISD to get on the right track with accountability reforms. This district needs trustees with a backbone for change to keep the improvements coming.That's why we recommend Dustin Marshall over Lori Kirkpatrick in the pivotal runoff in District 2 that covers parts of North and East Dallas. Marshall has spent more than a decade as a public school advocate and volunteer. He has a proven record of supporting reforms that put kids first.In contrast, Kirkpatrick, 51, is focused on unraveling the district's most transformative initiatives. She's had little involvement in public schools. Before now, she hadn't voted in a municipal election since 2012.
