Water Main Break Turns Road to Ice in Fort Worth

A broken water main turned a portion of Lancaster Avenue in Fort Worth into an ice rink early Friday, police reported.Police had to break up thick sheets of ice while repair crews worked on the water main around 4 a.m., KXAS-TV (NBC5) reported. No accidents were reported, but drivers should avoid Lancaster Avenue between North Edgewood Terrace and Oakland Boulevard in east Fort Worth, the station said.No wrecks have been reported, and it's unclear when Lancaster Avenue will reopen.  Continue reading...
