Watch: Texas Man Dances Into Mardi Gras Marriage Proposal With ‘Uptown Funk’ Flash Mob

A group of guys danced in the streets of Galveston this weekend so their friend could strut up to his girlfriend and get down on one knee.John Galloway, 26, surprised his girlfriend, 23-year-old Wendy Hernandez, moments before his hometown's Mardi Gras parade kicked off Saturday, ABC reports. Galloway figured a dancing flash mob, choreographed to Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" and "Marry You," would be the best way to woo Hernandez, who used to cheer as a Houston Dynamo Girl for the professional soccer team, The Houston Chronicle reports. Galloway and several of his friends practiced from December until the proposal went down."My original plan was to hire professional dancers," he said.
