Watch: Body-cam Footage Shows Man Firing at Fort Worth Police During Standoff

Six days after a Fort Worth officer fatally shot a domestic-violence suspect who used children as human shields as he opened fire on police, the department released footage of the standoff.The five-minute video, spliced together from several body-camera recordings, shows the encounter at 2900 Broadmoor Drive, where a resident reported that Markeyvion Devonte Cannon, 19, had a gun Thursday morning.Cannon was visiting his ex-girlfriend and their baby, police said, but had an active warrant for domestic assault against that ex-girlfriend stemming from a May 21 incident. The warrant included an emergency protective order to prevent Cannon from contacting her.An altercation began, and police were dispatched to the apartment around 11:30 a.m.The footage begins with officers approaching the third-floor apartment.
