Warren Buffett-owned Electronics Distributor Expands in Fort Worth and Plans to Hire

TTI, a global distributor of electronic components that's owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway, is moving into a new 641,000-square-foot distribution center in north Fort Worth with plans to expand its workforce.The new building at 3737 Meacham Blvd. was built on 45.8 acres in the Mercantile Center Business Park and will consolidate and replace TTI's current warehouse operations. When construction began in 2016, the estimated price tag was $40 million. TTI "is actively hiring for the new location" along with transferring employees from other facilities, said Traci Nelson, vice president of human resources. The company employs 1,020 workers locally, up from about 870 in 2014."It's still a move in motion and we anticipate hiring through the new year," Nelson said.   Continue reading...
