Waco Elementary Teacher Arrested on Child Porn Charges

A Waco elementary school teacher was arrested Thursday after a Google alert notified authorities that he had uploaded explicit images of children.Jeremy Luke Adler, 37, was taken into custody on a charge of possessing child pornography, reports the Waco Tribune-Herald. The Texas Attorney General's Office Child Exploitation Unit also searched Adler's home. An affidavit for the search warrant indicated that authorities received an alert that the fourth-grade teacher at Cedar Ridge Elementary School, had uploaded two images of child pornography on Dec. 9.The affidavit said the uploaded images reportedly showed "a nude prepubescent female child, approximately 8-10 years of age," according to the Tribune-Herald. After reviewing the images, Sgt. J.D. Newlin of the AG's office discovered that the address for the computer from which they were sent was linked to Adler and his home address.Newlin obtained a search warrant for Adler's email account, which showed that there were also multiple internet searches for children performing sex acts. Other search warrants have been requested to allow authorities to seize other electronic devices from Adler's home.Adler's information had been removed from the Cedar Ridge Elementary School website by Thursday morning.
