Clements Jr. University Hospital by 2020.The expansion is driven by "a greater-than-expected need" for specialty care, in areas such as neurology and cancer, hospital officials said Wednesday. The goal is to consolidate resources, boost efficiency and enhance the quality of care provided to patients, said Dr. Daniel Podolsky, president of University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.The effort will add to a "vibrant economy" of construction of new hospitals and medical buildings in Texas.
