U.S. Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson Joins Chorus of Lawmakers Urging AT&T to End Local TV Blackout

U.S. Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson has joined legislators from eight other states urging Irving-based Nexstar and AT&T-owned DirecTV to end a weeklong blackout of local TV channels in many parts of the country.On July 4, Nexstar Media Group-owned affiliate stations for networks including CBS, NBC, Fox, ABC and The CW were dropped from DirecTV customers' programming across the country. The channels remained unavailable Thursday, with the companies at an impasse over details of a new contract."It is my hope that AT&T/DirecTV and Nexstar come together in a timely manner and negotiate in good faith a comprehensive solution that prioritizes the consumer," Rep.
