Two Huge Industrial Buildings on the Way at Hillwood's AllianceTexas Project

Developer Hillwood is starting two more speculative warehouses in its huge AllianceTexas project north of Fort Worth.The buildings will include about 1.3 million square feet of space and will be built in North Fort Worth and Northlake in the Interstate 35W corridor.The warehouse construction starts come just a week after Hillwood said it has leased one of its largest vacant industrial buildings - a 783,465-square-foot property on North Beach Street in Fort Worth - to sporting goods firm Callaway Golf Co."Over the last 18 months, Hillwood has launched almost 6 million square feet of new industrial projects at AllianceTexas, leasing over 3 million square feet of that space while still under construction," Tony Creme, senior vice president of Hillwood, said in a statement. "These new buildings are a result of Hillwood's on-demand approach of continuously having Class-A speculative space available for immediate occupancy to meet the needs of global logistics companies seeking instant speed to market."The two new projects are the Alliance Center North 7 with 810,908 square feet in Fort Worth and Alliance Northport 2 in Northlake with 459,762 square feet. Both buildings will open in mid-2020.The new buildings will be near FedEx's Southwest regional hub and the UPS ground hub. Alliance Airport is also nearby.The 26,000-acre AllianceTexas development is one of North Texas' largest warehouse and distribution districts.The 30-year-old development is home to more than 500 companies, which provide more than 61,000 jobs.  Continue reading...
