Twin Peaks Is Moving Into Mexico City With First Restaurant Opening in the Fall

Dallas-based Twin Peaks is planning to open eight restaurants south of the U.S. border in Mexico City.The first is expected to open in November. The restaurants will be franchised by Mexico-based company Operadora 2 Montes.Twin Peaks is known for its cold beer, "sports lodge" environment and scantily-clad servers."We couldn't be more thrilled to bring Twin Peaks to Mexico City," Operadora 2 Montes CEO Rodolfo Garcia said in a statement. "For most people, Twin Peaks will be a whole new experience, which makes it that much more exciting for us to bring it to the area."Twin Peaks was founded in Lewisville in 2005 and has grown to more than 80 restaurants across the United States. In 2015, in Waco, a deadly shootout among biker gangs took place in a Twin Peaks parking lot.
