Trump Welcomes Baylor Lady Bears to the White House to Celebrate ‘tremendous' Basketball Title

WASHINGTON -- President Donald Trump on Monday welcomed the Baylor University women's basketball team to the White House to congratulate the players and coach Kim Mulkey on winning a "tremendous" national championship this month.Trump, a noted sports fan, said he watched the Lady Bears' thrilling 82-81 title game win over Notre Dame, telling the team that they've "left an enduring mark on college basketball history.""The championship game will go down as one of the greatest in the history of women's college basketball," the president said, flanked by the team and other special guests in the Oval Office.
