Trump Disputes New York Times Report That Tax Returns Show $1 Billion in Losses

President Donald Trump disputed a New York Times report that his tax returns show losses of more than $1 billion over the past decade.The Times reported on Wednesday morning that returns from 1985 to 1994 present "a different, and far bleaker, picture of his deal-making abilities and financial condition," than Trump's "self-spun narrative of business success and of setbacks triumphantly overcome."Trump, in Wednesday morning tweets, called the report "highly inaccurate" and said the losses were mostly "non monetary.""Real estate developers in the 1980's & 1990's, more than 30 years ago, were entitled to massive write offs and depreciation which would, if one was actively building, show losses and tax losses in almost all cases.
