Trump Could Tap Dallas Rep. Jeb Hensarling for Consumer Bureau They Despise

WASHINGTON — Retiring Dallas Rep. Jeb Hensarling is reportedly on the White House's short list to lead the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, an agency he has called the "single-most unaccountable and powerful agency in the history of our republic."The Republican, long an agency critic, is among three top contenders for the recently vacated position, according to Politico.
