Sunshine and warm conditions can be expected in today's forecast.We will see an increase in clouds as Tropical Storm Cindy moves west and northwest toward the Texas coastline. Although most computer models keep the heart of Cindy east of North Texas for its track through Texas, some models do bring it close enough to bring some scattered showers and storms as far west as D-FW.Based on its current track, heavy rain from the storm is expected to stay well east of Dallas-Fort Worth, closer to Toledo Bend, along the Sabine River, and Shreveport, said meteorologist Jason Godwin of the National Weather Service.Tropical Storm Cindy shut down unloading from a major oil terminal Tuesday, prompted some evacuations from rigs and platforms in the Gulf of Mexico and put states from along the Gulf on notice for flooding rains.Carlsbad Caverns: A Corpus Christi father and son who went missing last week while hiking near Carlsbad Caverns National Park were found dead Tuesday, New Mexico officials said.  Continue reading...
