Tracy Lee Beard, Former Dallas Firefighter Who Battled ALS, Dies at 51

Tracy Lee Beard's family didn't know the extent of his legacy until the tributes surfaced after he was found to have ALS nearly three years ago.The tributes came from people impacted by Beard's 26 years with Dallas Fire-Rescue and his 15 years coaching Texas Glory Fastpitch Softball."He wasn't one to promote himself," said his brother, Clint Beard of Rockwall.Beard, 51, died Saturday at his Mesquite home of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.  Continue reading...
