Tow Truck Driver Killed When Woman Hits Him With His Own Truck, Fort Worth Police Say

A Fort Worth tow truck driver was killed when he was struck by his own truck that was apparently driven by his girlfriend Monday morning.A passing driver spotted the man's body around 3 a.m. along Interstate 35W near State Highway 170, police said.The driver, whose name has not been released, was in the process of securing another vehicle to his truck when he was run over. Fort Worth police spokesman Jimmy Pollozani said the man's girlfriend, who was sleeping in the passenger seat of the tow truck, woke up and apparently panicked when she didn't see him in the truck, KDFW-TV (Channel 4) reported.She then drove the truck to a nearby gas station, not knowing she had hit the man, Pollozani said."It could appear that she was confused or just scared because she didn't see her boyfriend obviously in the driver's seat," Pollozani told KDFW.
