Three Men Each Shot Below the Waist in Incidents in Central and East Oak Cliff

Three men were each shot below the waist in two overnight incidents said to have occurred in central and east Oak Cliff that may have been related.Officers responded about 12:20 a.m. Saturday to a shooting call in the 4500 block of Village Fair Drive, in central Oak Cliff.Police eventually interviewed two 24-year-old men at Methodist Charlton Medical Center who said they had been at that location when a physical altercation transpired.At some point during the altercation, an unknown suspect produced a handgun and shot one of the men in the right thigh and the second in the right knee.Detectives spoke to a third person at Crescent Hospital in Lancaster who said he had been at a gambling gathering on Ledbetter Drive at Denley Drive when he was also shot in the right knee.  Continue reading...
