Americans want to work. And that statement was in full display on Thursday when a few thousand area residents showed up for the "You're Hired! Job Fest."A traffic jam around the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Dallas continued most of the afternoon as people filed in for a chance at a seasonal or permanent job from a handful of employers. UPS, FedEx Ground, Ashley Furniture, Dallas Area Rapid Transit, Wal-Mart and Amazon were among the employers who conducted on-the-spot interviews and were ready to offer jobs.
