Desoto ISD is a district in trouble, trying to pull itself out of a hole created by a past administration that did deep damage to students, to the district and to the city.We wish, with the stakes so high, that we could make a stronger recommendation for the leadership of the school board.As it is, we cautiously recommend voters replace incumbent board member Kathy Goad with political newcomer Tongee Flemming in Place 2.Frankly, both candidates offered frustratingly thin reasons why they should hold office.
