The Dallas Morning News Recommends Paula Blackmon for Dallas City Council, District 9

Representing Dallas City Council District 9 is not for the faint of heart. The East Dallas district with White Rock Lake in its midst has vocal neighborhood associations, great wealth and great poverty, and persistent struggles over traffic and preservation. It takes a confident and informed leader to stay on top of so many competing interests. For this reason, we recommend consultant Paula Blackmon, who has held leadership positions with mayors Tom Leppert and Mike Rawlings, and with former Dallas ISD Superintendent Mike Miles.While all of the candidates in this race to succeed Mark Clayton are first-time office seekers, Blackmon’s unique resume and depth of knowledge make her the best choice to take on the complex challenges facing the city and the district.
