The Dallas Morning News Recommends LaShon Ross for Plano City Council, Place 7

It’s rare for voters to have a chance to add years of government experience to their City Council. But in Plano, longtime city employee LaShon Ross is running for the open Place 7 seat, and we recommend voters tap her expertise.Ross, 52, worked nearly three decades in municipal government, including 15 years in Plano as human resources director and deputy city manager. Her legacy led the city to rename its employee-development program for her. With so much knowledge about Plano’s operations, Ross would hit the ground running in a way neither of her rivals could match.Ross was involved in the development of the Plano Tomorrow comprehensive plan that is the subject of so much debate, including in several council races. For some, that might be reason enough to vote for someone else.
