Texas Teen Charged With Terroristic Threat After ‘blow Up the Plane' Post on Snapchat

A 17-year-old Houston-area teen was arrested this weekend and charged with making a terroristic threat on Snapchat just before his plane left for Guatemala.Hector Fonseca of Humble was boarding a United Airlines flight at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Aug. 3 when he allegedly made the posts, the city's KTRH News Radio reported.According to court documents, the teen posted a photo of his shoes and the words "Blown this [expletive] up." A second post that showed the teen holding his passport read, "Time to blow up the plane."The teen also used smiley face and bomb emojis, according to the news station.According to Houston's KHOU-TV, the FBI began looking into the situation after being notified by a Snapchat representative and were able to trace the posts to Fonseca.Federal agents took Fonseca into custody when he returned to Houston from Guatemala.He faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted of the felony charge, KTRH reported.   Continue reading...
