Texas Stepmom Who Made Kids Vomit, Lick Feces-coated Toilet Sentenced to 45 Years in Prison

A Texas woman who punished her stepsons by making them throw up or lick a feces-coated toilet was sentenced Thursday to 45 years in prison.Sara Ann Woody, 25, was found guilty of 16 of 26 counts of injury to a child, KFDX-TV reports. Woody lives in Burkburnett, near Wichita Falls.The stepmother abused her children, ages 12 and 7, by hitting their tongues with a spoon, hitting their genitals and forcing one to lick the other's anus.Police became aware of the abuse last March after one of the boys was taken to the hospital for a lip injury, which Woody's husband Jonathan tried to pass off as an accident. However, a detective noticed other bruising on the boy's body, which a doctor believed to be consistent with abuse.When the detective first saw the 12-year-old, he believed he was 7 or 8 due to how small the child was.One of the boys told police that Woody would force him to do push-ups while sitting in a recliner with a paddle or tent pole in hand. If the boy dropped, she would beat him on the back of his head and down his body.Woody's husband was expected to testify in the case but pleaded the fifth. He's also charged in the case, for reportedly lying to police about the abuse. He was arrested on three counts of child endangerment and one count of tampering with a witness.  Continue reading...
