John Cornyn said Friday he and other members of the state's delegation will oppose redirecting the use of any Hurricane Harvey disaster funds to build a Mexican border wall.As the government shutdown entered its 21st day with no clear end in sight, the Trump administration began floating the possibility of using disaster relief dollars earmarked for Texas and Puerto Rico to build the border wall by declaring a national emergency and bypassing Congressional approval. "I will oppose any reprogramming of Harvey disaster funds," Cornyn told the media after he and fellow Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz gave the keynote addresses at a Texas Public Policy Foundation luncheon.
