Texas Man Busted After Returning to Scene of a Traffic Stop to Get the Heroin He Dropped, Authorities Say

A Hood County man was arrested this week after deputies had a hunch he'd return to the scene of a traffic stop to retrieve some misplaced drugs, authorities say.Joseph Edward Brush, 26, of Granbury faces one count of possession of a controlled substance.According to an arrest-warrant affidavit, a Parker County sheriff's deputy was on patrol in Weatherford around 1 a.m. Thursday when he stopped a silver Acura with a defective license-plate light on Old Brock Road near Ric Williamson Memorial Highway.After the deputy let the driver go with a verbal warning, the Acura's passenger — whom deputies had identified as Brush — got out and said he wanted to walk, but got back in the vehicle at the insistence of a second deputy who'd stopped to assist, the affidavit says.  Continue reading...
