Texas Man Asked Child to Clean Up Blood After Stabbing Estranged Wife to Death, Police Say

San Antonio police say a man fatally stabbed his estranged wife, then asked their child to clean up the bloody apartment.Erica Bright was dropped off at an emergency clinic in northeast San Antonio on Nov. 16. Before she died, she told employees that her estranged husband, 47-year-old Lewis Bright, was responsible for her stab wounds, the San Antonio Express-News reports. According to an affidavit, officers found a bloody knife in a sink at Erica Bright's apartment, as well as clumps of blood on the floor.The couple's child reported seeing Lewis Bright driving a bloody Erica Bright in the family car. According to the affidavit, the child told police Lewis Bright said that Erica Bright had cut herself and that the child, whose name and age were not released, needed to clean up the blood in the apartment.Lewis Bright was arrested Monday night, according to Bexar County jail records.
