Texas Lawmakers Adjust Bill Tesla Owners Feared Would Prevent Them From Servicing Vehicles

Texas lawmakers met Thursday morning to discuss a proposed bill Tesla owners feared would prevent them from servicing and maintaining their vehicles which contained revised language that the company says no longer puts their service centers at risk.Tesla said it was encouraged by the changes made to the original bill, and thanked the author of the bill Sen. Kelly Hancock, R-North Richland Hills, for listening to thousands of Tesla owners in Texas."The substitute bill preserves the status quo to allow Tesla and companies like us to continue to service our customers' vehicles in Texas," a company spokesman said," we look forward to continuing to serve our growing customer base in the Lone Star State."  Continue reading...
