Texas Lawmaker Lets Many Down With Her DWI Arrest

First-term lawmaker Victoria Neave disappointed more than just herself when she was arrested this week for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.As she indicated, Neave also let down her family, her constituents and many supporters in District 107, which includes parts of East Dallas, Garland and Mesquite.Details of her run-in with police offer a stark reminder about the hazards of driving under the influence of alcohol or any controlled substance. She crashed a BMW into a tree at Abrams Road and La Vista Drive near Lakewood about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
