Terrell Cellphone Burglary Suspects Traced to Hotel in Southeast Dallas

Two people were arrested Friday after a cellphone store owner pinged a phone that had been stolen and helped Terrell and Dallas police track the suspects down at a motel in southeast Dallas.Heather Williams, 26, and 38-year-old Eric Cummins, both of Dallas, were arrested by Dallas police around 8:41 a.m. at a motel in the 8200 block of CF Hawn Freeway.Police believe the two are linked to a burglary of a Sprint store in Terrell in which several phones were taken shortly after midnight Friday.The business owner traced one of the phones to the hotel, where Terrell police were refused entry and couldn't force the door open. Dallas police and SWAT officers were called in to assist, and the suspects were captured.It was unclear what charges they will face, but Terrell police said there's substantial evidence that could clear other burglaries.The two police departments are cooperating in the investigation.  Continue reading...
