Tarrant County Student Took Unloaded Gun to School Because He Was Bullied, Police Say

A student at a Fort Worth ISD high school was arrested Friday after taking a gun to campus, police say.Western Hills High School in Benbrook was placed on a short lockdown while police looked for the weapon Friday morning, KXAS-TV (NBC5) reports.Witnesses told police that they had seen the student put the gun in his waistband, then get on a bus headed to the school, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.Police located the student at the school and found an unloaded handgun in his pants. The student, who said it was a BB gun, told police he took it to school because he was being picked on.Benbrook police then arrested the student, whose identity is not being released because of his age.  Continue reading...
