Suspect Surrenders After Threatening Wife During Standoff in Old East Dallas

A 47-year-old man was under arrest after police said he threatened his wife with a gun during a standoff Wednesday morning in Old East Dallas.Dallas police were called around 2:20 a.m. to the 5300 block of Lindsley Avenue, where a witness who lives there said she was awakened by sounds of shouting in another room and saw the suspect making threats with a gun against his wife.The witness and her husband then ran out of the house and called 911, police said.SWAT officers set up a perimeter, and the victim gave himself up around 4:30 a.m., police said.
