Sunday-school Teacher Repeatedly Molested Child at Mesquite Baptist Church, Police Say

A Mesquite Sunday-school teacher sexually abused a child for more than six months last year, police say, and authorities believe there could be other victims.Mesquite police arrested 23-year-old Benjamin Baldiviez of Dallas on Thursday. He was being held Friday at the Dallas County jail on one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, with bail set at $100,000.Baldiviez has been a Sunday-school teacher and volunteer at Parkside Baptist Church on Gross Road. He has been a member of the church for 10 years.Police said they learned of the allegations in February.
